The Visual Studio team has made significant investments in improving the developer experience for building and deploying Office Business Applications. In this demo-heavy session we will walk through an end-to-end OBA sample and discuss architecture options to consider when building these systems. We'll show how to expose Line-of-Business data easily and securely and how to use the RAD tools and designers in Visual Studio that help you build and deploy OBAs.

We al know: LinkedIn, Twitter, and Hyves. Since we're using SharePoint for public internetsites more and more I developed a messaging webpart for SharePoint for quick sharing messages. This uses innovative techniques as AJAX.NET, jQuery and mySites. I will use this example to explain some SharePoint development concepts for developing innovative webparts.

Web Content Management in SharePoint is een nieuwe features van MOSS 2007 waarmee publieke websites en nieuws portalen ontwikkeld kunnen worden. In deze sessie wordt aan de hand van ContentTypes, PageLayouts, Masterpages en Webparts een voorbeeld internetsite gebouwd. Vervolgens wordt aangetoond hoe jQuery en Silverlight gebruikt kan worden om de website beter te laten smoelen. Als voorbeeld wordt onder andere een jQuery webpart met roulerende nieuwsitems uitgewerkt. Tot slot wordt stilgestaan bij enkele best practices voor het ontwikkelen van publieke websites.
